Questions and answers

Clear answers about the platform, compatible sensors, partner Zones, accounts, and physiological data.

What is ReflectU?

ReflectU is an interactive wellness and reflection platform developed by Unifying Life Tech. It combines guided practices, movement, sound, interactive environments, and optional physiological feedback to help people observe their experience over time.

How does ReflectU work?

People choose a Reflection or training experience and follow its prompts. When a compatible sensor is connected, ReflectU can add live heart-rate and HRV-derived observations to the experience and its reflection card. A sensor is optional unless a particular experience says otherwise.

Do I need a heart-rate sensor to use ReflectU?

No. Many ReflectU experiences can be used without a sensor. Compatible heart-rate sensors add another layer of live and session-based observation, but they do not replace personal reflection or professional health advice.

Which sensors work with ReflectU?

ReflectU supports compatible Bluetooth heart-rate sensors through Web Bluetooth, with current experiences primarily designed and tested around Polar heart-rate straps. Browser, operating-system, and device support can affect Bluetooth availability.

What is a ReflectU Zone?

A ReflectU Zone is a physical or digital environment configured for a partner organisation, such as a gym, wellness space, workplace, hotel, cultural institution, gallery, event, or retreat. A Zone can combine partner content with shared ReflectU training and reflection tools.

Do I need an account to use ReflectU?

Some public and local experiences can be explored without an account. A Google account is required when a partner Zone needs enrollment or when a feature needs to associate cloud data with a specific person.

How does ReflectU handle physiological data?

Physiological features are designed for wellness and self-observation, not diagnosis. Partner report sharing and live-room visibility use explicit consent controls, and users can keep supported reflection data local when they do not choose to share it.

Is ReflectU a medical or diagnostic system?

No. ReflectU does not diagnose, treat, or prevent medical conditions. Heart rate, HRV-derived measures, and coherence are presented as observational signals within a reflection or training experience, not as clinical conclusions or scores of a person.
